NDIS Personal Activities for Disabled in Adelaide
Lifecare Options aims to support disabled people with personal tasks involved in day to day living. It covers support with everyday personal activities for disabled that assist them to live as independently as possible at home and in the community. Support types that you may be able to access under the Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS Plan include: Assistance with daily personal activities and Assistance with household tasks.
There may be different situations where you may need assistance with daily personal activities. Disabled may be living on their own or with family and still require assistance with personal activities, when in their home, out in the community or on holidays. We also provide for support needs that are complex such as using of specialized equipment or machinery, needing support with transfers, or other specialized plans that help you be as independent as possible.
Personal activities for are supports relate to assistance with daily personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life. For example:
- Personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming.
- Toileting, bladder and bowel management and menstrual care.
- Eating and drinking.
- Attending appointments.
- Use of aids and appliances, hearing and communication devices.
- Mobility and transferring, for example moving in and out of bed and on or off the toilet; or
- Application of splints, basic first aid due to injuries sustained as a result of a participant’s disability.
